He wasalways enjoying with his immersed thoughts about the praise of theGoddess Abiramiand not at all bothered about the worldlymatters.When the King of Tanjore, Saraboji made a visit to the town, thesepeople told Abirami Bhattar and his abnormal behaviors. The Kingwent to the temple to worship the Mother. At that time, Bhattar wasin meditation thinking about Mother's glorifying face. At thattime, King approached him with due respect and asked what the day(Thithi) it was. Without realizing the actual day as a New Moon Day(Amavasya), AbiramiBattar mentioned to others that the day was aFull Moon Day (Pournami). Every one laughed at him.The King went angry and ordered to burn him alive if his words(i.e., Full Moon Day) fail. He was put to test from a hangingplatform with lots of fire underneath. AbiramiBattar realized hisstatement and put the blame on Goddess Mother. He said to her thatI made this mistake only because of you as I was immersed in yourthoughts. He started singing about the GoddessAbiraami in 100slokas, so beutifully sung. The songs come under a class of Tamilpoetry called Andhaathi". This means, the next" poem should startwith the ending from the previous one. One should be able toappreciate the talents and God's grace in AbiraamiBattar to singall these beautiful 100 songs in one night. One more specialty ofAbiramiAndhathi is, there is no starting and ending. The poems extol the richness of the Cheral realm.The second ten poems were written by Kumattur Kannan about theCheral king Imayavaramban Nedunceralaathan. Paalai Kauthamanaarcomposed the third ten poems about Celkezhukkuttuvan. The poetKappiyatru Kaapiyanaar composed the fourth ten poems about the kingNanmudi Cheral and 'received 40,000 gold coins and a part of hiskingdom'. Paranar composed the fifth ten poems about the Cheralking Cenguttuvan and 'received the prince Kuttuvan Ceral'. KingAadukotpattu Ceralathan rewarded the poet KakkaipatiniyarNacchellayar for the sixth ten poems with gold and land and madeher his court poet. The famous poet Kapilar composed the seventhten poems about Cheran Celvakkadungo Vazhi Aathan. Cheral kingPerunceral Irumporai was the subject of the eight ten poems. PoetArasikizhar received 'much land and the administrative rights of anumber of temples' in exchange for his compositions. The ninth tenpoems were written about the Cheral king Perunceral Irumporai(possibly the brother of the king in the previous ten poemseulogised by Perunkunrurkizhar).

Mullaipattu - Mullaipattu, is a Tamil poeticwork in the Ettuthokai anthology of Sangam literature, belonging tothe Sangam period corresponding to between 100 BCE – 100 CE."Mullaippattu" contains 103 lines of poetry in the Akaval meter.The poems were written by the poet Nappoothanaar.The subject matter of "Mullaippattu" is classified as akam, theSangam literature's classification of the subjective matters suchas love and human relationship. "Mullaippattu" is a pure love poem,and talks about the heroine longing for the hero who had left herto fight a war. In the olden days the soldiers used come back totheir home country during the rainy season to look after theirprimary profession of agriculture.
